Big News! No More Paper Invoices!

We are so pleased to announce that the 10/1/10 invoice run will be the last time that we will print and mail paper invoices here at Advocate Capital, Inc.!  As part of our push to be paperless and “green”, we will only send client invoices via email.  We estimate that this will save about 15,000 sheets of paper annually, not to mention the printer ink, postage and labor savings.

Tennessee Industry News

The plaintiff bar and its supporters have had little to cheer about in the legislative arena, lately.  Nor have there been many paradigm shifting court decisions that are in our favor.

However, the Tennessee Supreme Court recently handed down a decision that could substantially change the way that employee discrimination and retaliation cases will be treated in Tennessee.  Click here to read the article from The Tennessean from September 22, 2010. —Paul Myers

Network Affiliates Meeting — Miami Beach, FL.

This weekend I’ll be attending the Network Affiliates user group meeting in Miami Beach.  If you have not heard of Network Affiliates, you need to check them out.  They are a full service ad agency for trial law firms.  If you have question for them, contact Harlan Schillinger.  He knows the industry inside and out.

We have been a client of Network Affiliates for years, including their sister company, Page One Solutions.  The gurus at Page One have done an awesome job on our website (and this blog you are reading!) and have bumped us to the top of their search engines with their terrific SEO technology.   I highly recommend Dan Goldstein and his team at Page One. — Michael Swanson

Advocate Capital, Inc. Exhibiting at CELA Convention in Los Angeles.

I am looking forward to traveling to Los Angeles this week to visit several of our excellent clients throughout southern California.

On Friday and Saturday, 10/1 and 10/2 I will be attending the CELA convention at the Los Angeles Marriott Downtown.  If you will be attending the CELA convention, please stop by booth #5 to say “Hello”.  We’ll be sponsoring the breakfast Friday morning.

Oh, and you can sign up for our raffle prize, the famous (infamous?) martini kit!

Hope to see you there. — Paul Myers
