New Google AdWords Changes and How They Affect SpyFu Results

AdWordsSpyfuGoogle recently confirmed the removal of ads on the right side of results pages, and that left everyone wondering about the impact. Would this drive the price higher on advertising? What will organic traffic look like now? Most importantly, how does this change SpyFu data results?

In Spyfu’s recent article, author Sidra Condron explains that SpyFu will continue to capture the top ads and organic results you are used to viewing. The article also shows a comparison of February 2016’s layout compared to March 2016’s layout of Google results pages.

Overall, the biggest change is in the format. In the old format, Google showed 11 ads on the first page, but now only shows 7. SpyFu will catch ads in spots 1 through 14 (page 1 and 2 results). Two major trends SpyFu will continue to watch as this rolls out is spending and ad position shift since it will be a fight for page 1 placement.

SpyFu is a search analytics company that started in 2005. SpyFu shows the keywords that websites buy on Google Adwords as well as the keywords that websites are showing up for within search results. Other services include cost per click and search volume statistics on keywords and uses that data to approximate what websites are spending on advertising.

J. Gary Gwilliam & the Battle for 129 Wrongfully Terminated Workers Featured in Bechtel Family Biography

The Profiteers bookRecently I blogged about a true David vs. Goliath style employment law success story, the $37.25M settlement reached by J. Gary Gwilliam and his Oakland, CA based law firm Gwilliam Ivary Chiosso Cavalli & Brewer in a case against Lawrence Livermore National Security Labs. After more than seven years of heavy litigation, Gwilliam and his firm were able to negotiate a landmark settlement on behalf of 129 employees who were wrongfully terminated after the national security labs handed over management responsibility to the privately held for-profit company, Bechtel.

Now you can read more about the Bechtel family dynasty, the privatization of our Nation’s national security labs and the litigation that followed. Just out March 1st, in her latest work, The Profiteers: Bechtel and the Men Who Built the World, historian & investigative journalist Sally Denton explores the Bechtel family history and its business, from the humble beginnings as the company that built the Hoover Dam to the rise of a privately held global empire fueled largely by government contracts. In the book, Denton shares a riveting story of abuse of corporate and political power and chronicles the employment law litigation led by Gary Gwilliam, Randy Strauss & Robert Schwartz, as they fought to seek justice on behalf of employees wrongfully terminated after decades of service.

We’re all fortunate to have consumer attorneys across this great nation, like long-time friend and client Gwilliam Ivary Chiosso Cavalli & Brewer, who are willing to take on modern day Goliaths and global empires like Bechtel at their own expense, assuming all financial risks, to demand and deliver justice for consumers. Thanks to the author Sally Denton for shedding light on this important story of corporate and political abuse.

Facebook Live: Changing How You Engage Online

Copyright : Selman AmerAs you know, Facebook is a great business platform to connect with clients and prospects. You have the ability to write posts, comment on others’ posts, upload picture and video, etc. All of these options are great, but Facebook Live is a newer option to, you guessed it, interact live with your Facebook followers.

Similar to Twitch and Periscope, you can record video live as your followers watch. This is a great option to increase video engagement with potential prospects and current clients. Once your broadcast is over, you have the option to keep the recorded video and post it to your profile.

Facebook Live is only available to iPhone users currently, and has yet to release its availability to Android users. If you’d like to read the full Mashable article about this topic, you can do so here!
