The first official day of spring is this Sunday, March 20th, which means it's time to do some spring cleaning, and that includes your law firm! Attorney and author, Megan Zavieh shared some law firm spring cleaning ideas in an article for Attorney at Work.
Reach out to your connections
Zavieh suggests reconnecting with your network of peers, vendors, referral sources, etc. as a part of your spring cleaning routine. It's a great time to reach out and ensure you don't lose touch with valuable connections.
Look at your CLE status
Set aside time to check on your CLE status. Zavieh recommends planning your CLE courses for the year and checking that your certificates are complete and sending them in if needed.
Evaluate your subscriptions
Think about the subscriptions you pay for monthly and annual subscriptions that may be coming up for renewal and decide if you should keep them, cancel them, or replace them. Zavieh says, "Take a month of bank and credit card statements and list out everything you are paying for. There are likely some apps you never use, or others you could cut out."
