A great way to network with your firm’s online presence is by using LinkedIn. Having an online presence for potential clients to find you is important and it’s also important to have an online network where you can connect with your professional colleagues.
The advantage of using LinkedIn is that both potential clients and your professional colleagues can find you or your firm’s page. According to the American Bar Association’s 2018 Legal Technology Survey, 87% of lawyers indicated they had a LinkedIn profile. According to Business Insider, LinkedIn has about 500 million users, with that many people using the website there’s no reason to not try using LinkedIn.
According to LawyerMarketing.com, here are some ways to boost your firm’s profile on LinkedIn:
Make sure your LinkedIn profile has more than just your work history, your resume, and education. Your background and career history is important, but you should also work on making connections on LinkedIn. Your connections can be other lawyers and professionals in the legal industry. The connections you have on LinkedIn could also be potential clients or professionals who could refer clients to you.
Posting regularly on your LinkedIn profile helps your connections see you more regularly in their LinkedIn feed. An easy thing to post are articles with a short description on the link you are sharing. You can also try sharing short videos which are becoming more and more popular on social media.
