Another cancer-causing chemical has been found in a pill, according to a petition submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. PersonalInjury.com reports the online pharmacy Valisure has discovered the chemical in blood-pressure pills made by companies like Novartis.
The petition submitted to the FDA in June says a high level of DMF was found in the pill, valsartan. DMF is a solvent that was classified as a probable carcinogen by the World Health Organization, as reported by CBSNews.com.
