During a recent client training, a client wanted to submit an Excel file to us, but their file was in Adobe PDF format. I helped them convert the file to Excel and they were super grateful. Now I’d like to share this tip with you!
Assume you are in a PDF document and want to convert it to Microsoft Excel. Follow these steps:
- Go to File
- Select Export To
- Select Spreadsheet
- Select Microsoft Excel Workbook
Now let’s do this in reverse. Maybe you’ve created a beautiful pie chart in Excel and you want to display it in Adobe PDF. In Excel, follow these steps:
- Go to File
- Select Export
- Select Create Adobe PDF
Excel will then ask which tabs in your Excel file you want to convert. You can select one or all and then select Convert to PDF.
All done!
Bonus: I’m working with Office 2016, but this process is similar in other versions, as well.
