We live in a fast-paced world and it is easy to expect everyone to know what you’re thinking when it comes to accomplishing your goal. However, that may not be the case. Things can be misconstrued throughout the work week. That’s why it is important to focus on having more clarity in law firms.
Our friends over at The Vista Consulting Team provide a few helpful recommendations to ensure you and your team are on the same page.
- Set the Vision. It is important for leaders to take time each year to explain the direction the firm wants to take and what the end goal is. This is normally done at end of year meetings to set the standards for the upcoming year. This can be where you figure out what has been working well and what needs to improve!
- Take on Projects that Align with Your Vision. As a leader, you need to figure out what tasks are helping you achieve your vision and what are not. Even though you hear certain things work well with other firms that does not mean it will do the same for yours. Look at the bigger picture and focus on what matters. In doing so, your team will become less frustrated because they will be able to see that the tasks they are taking on are making a difference.
- Communicate the Vision Regularly. Once the vision and strategy has come to a full conclusion, it is important to incorporate them into your firm’s core values. Put those core values into frames around the office so the vision is seen on a regular basis and continues to be embedded into your teams thought process throughout the day.
These are just a few of the helpful recommendations. For the full list visit their article here.
