Dan Taussig has been a shareholder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and a member of the Credit Committee of Advocate Capital, Inc., since 2000. His daily activities at Advocate include credit underwriting, relationships with senior lenders, subordinated debt holders, shareholders and with the Company’s legal counsel and public accounting firm. Additionally, he frequently meets with clients throughout the United States.
Since 1999, Mr. Taussig has also been Chief Executive Officer and a Member of Wellgen Standard LLC, a private equity firm.
Prior to Wellgen and Advocate Capital, Mr. Taussig achieved 18 years of success within entrepreneurial companies, providing leadership, financial management and business plan execution in his capacities as President and Vice President of two privately held companies. The two companies engaged in the printing and safety industries were successfully grown and ultimately sold to International Paper Co. (IP:NYSE) in 1997 and Brady Corporation (BRC:NYSE) in 1999 respectively, both publically traded companies on the New York Stock Exchange.
Mr. Taussig was graduated from Ashland University, Ashland, Ohio in 1982.
