Marketing yourself and your firm is important, especially during COVID-19. There are plenty of new ways to market yourself as a lawyer.
According to Sally J. Schmidt’s AttorneyatWork.com article, sticking to the fundamentals is just as important as trying new ways to market yourself as an attorney.
Below are two of the five marketing fundamentals Schmidt mentions in her article:
- Keeping your clients and prospective clients updated on how your practice is working to keep everyone safe is extremely important. Besides keeping them updated make sure you are listening to your clients. Reassure your clients and let them know they are being heard. Make notes of common questions or concerns your clients are having. This can provide an opportunity to create a video or a landing page on your website with how you are keeping everyone safe.
- Stay active and involved in your local trial lawyer associations. Many associations are cancelling in-person meetings or conferences. Ask your association how you can stay involved. Offer to moderate a virtual panel or write something for the group’s electronic newsletter.
