According LexBlog, recent testing claims that Zantac and generic ranitidine, which is a popular medication used to treat heartburn and related issues, leads to high levels of Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) exposure in those who take it. NDMA is a probable carcinogen that has been linked to cancers such as stomach, small intestine, colorectal, esophageal, and liver cancer.
Many manufacturers are voluntarily recalling their products and are beginning to conduct their own testing. Lawsuits have been filed across the nation in relation to these findings, according to LexBlog.
