As I have previously blogged about here, here and here, Dan Bryson, Tara Sutton and I had the privilege of leading the “Rustlers” team vs. the “Rangers” during the annual Public Justice phonathon in Dallas last week. I’m pleased to announce that the Rustlers whooped the Rangers in the effort to secure additional funding and new members for Public Justice!
Altogether the two teams raised $407,295 during the phonathon and signed up 285 members, which far exceeded our goals. (Thanks to all who contributed and welcome to all new members!)
While the Rangers raised an admirable $111,025 and signed up 121 new members, the Rustlers topped them by raising $296,270 and signing up 164 members! (All the new monthly members signed up by the Rustlers will have their first month’s dues paid by Advocate Capital, Inc.)
The competition was spirited but also very friendly since we’re really all on the same team as we support Public Justice in “Righting Wrongs”.
