Advocate Capital Volunteers at Book'em

Our team recently volunteered at Book’em in Nashville. Book’em's mission is to create a more literate Nashville and ignite children’s passion for reading through book ownership and enthusiastic volunteers.

When Book’em donates books to children and teens in need, they want to book to be good quality, like new, so that the recipients can feel proud of the books they get to own.

Our team sorted books, doing quality control to take any bent up or torn books to be sold to a local book shop. We also wiped covers, removed stickers, and stamped them to say “Gift from Book’em” so the kids know their book is a gift for them to keep.

We processed over 1,000 book for distribution, and we gave a monetary donation that equates to approximately 200 books.

Donna Jones is the President at Advocate Capital, which became a part of Pinnacle in 2019. Ms. Jones is a member of the Board of Directors of Advocate Capital and serves as a member of the Credit Committee.
