The accident occurred on April 21, 2014 when the Defendant failed to yield as she suddenly moved her vehicle into the left hand lane, directly in front of the Plaintiff’s motorcycle. As a direct and proximate result of the Defendant’s improper lane change, a violent collision occurred causing the Plaintiff extensive injuries including abdominal injury, hemorrhage, bleeding of the anterior spinal artery, removal of right kidney, and several other spinal injuries.
The Plaintiff spent nearly a month hospitalized, followed by a lengthy rehabilitation and physical therapy. Hundreds of thousands of dollars in health care expenses were incurred. Meticulous negotiations resulted in a settlement of $1,100,000.00 without the necessity of trial. This resolution will help ensure the best possible chance for recovery.
