The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all areas of our justice system and the world, including the American Association for Justice (AAJ) 2020 Convention! This year’s annual summer convention was scheduled for Washington D.C. July 13th – July 15th. As national firms and vendors were making their preparations to attend, COVID-19 struck, and the future of the conference was in question.
As with many other businesses, AAJ decided it would go virtual! With creativity and forward-thinking, AAJ quickly created AAJ 2020 AMPED-UP! A Virtual Experience! Instead of packing up materials and traveling to D.C., vendors were able to set up virtual booths that were staffed from the comfort of their own office or home if working remotely. National attorneys could enter a virtual booth, attend CLE classes, and easily collect educational materials with a click of a button. AAJ still offered excellent networking opportunities for all the attending attorneys and vendors but in a virtual setting.
As usual, Advocate Capital, Inc.’s extraordinary marketing team rose to the challenge and created an incredible virtual booth. ACI team members Michael J. Swanson, Jeff Glueck, Rebecca Stottlemyer, Maria Escamilla, and Susan Greene, staffed our booth each day. Several of our clients and colleagues were able to “stop by,” say hello, and join in a quick “chat.” With a simple click, a booth visitor could have a Zoom call for that “face to face” experience and enter to win a pair of Apple AirPods Pro.
COVID-19 has created uncertainty, but it has also created challenges and opportunities to step outside of the box. Advocate Capital, Inc. is proud of our partnership with the American Association for Justice for the work they do and for repeatedly rising to the task.
