Facebook can be a fantastic tool for law firms because many of your clients actively use it every day.
In a recent article for Attorney at Work, Annette Choti, legal digital marketing expert, provides some helpful tips on how to enhance your law firm’s presence on Facebook.
People relate most to videos and photos so try to use more visuals in your posts and less text. When you post a video, be sure to upload it to Facebook natively as opposed to posting a link from Youtube, Vimeo, or another video website.
Choti suggests adding captions to all your videos and keeping them under three minutes to increase their impact on Facebook. To caption your videos, you can use Facebook’s captioning tool or you can use another captioning software, like Trint, if you are posting videos more frequently or on multiple different social media sites. Facebook’s captioning tool is fairly easy to use. It will auto caption your videos and you can watch through and correct any mistakes before posting.
If you find that your firm often misses posting on social media due to a lack of time, Choti recommends scheduling your posts ahead of time. On business pages, you can schedule posts through Facebook. There are also other websites like Hootsuite that allow you to schedule all of your social media posts in one place.
