According to Law.com, a Missouri judge postponed a case against Round-Up due to rising cases of Covid-19.
Monsanto brought up this concern to the judge for a jury trial to continue with rising cases of covid. Round-Up is a product of the Monsanto company.
The plaintiff’s attorney opposed the continuance.
The judge agreed to the company’s request for a month’s continuance but did not reschedule the trial jury date. The judge did set a case management WebEx meeting for January.
The company suggested a court date set for April.
Many courts are temporarily postponing civil cases due to the uprising cases of Covid-19 cases caused by the omicron variant.
Monsanto’s attorney cited previous civil cases against the company in California when the delta variant of covid surged. The trial started in August, but the jury did not reach a verdict until December via Zoom.
