To grow your law firm, marketing and creating a lasting impression on potential clients is essential to your business. According to Sally J. Schmidt's Attorneyatwork.com article, here are a few ways you can utilize show and tell marketing for your firm.
Submitting Articles
Consider writing articles and submitting them in publications where your peers or potential clients will see them. Consider their previous articles when choosing a website, magazine, or e-newsletter to submit your article. Try writing an article that highlights your expertise and look at previous articles written on your area of expertise. Before submitting your article for publication, ensure your article follows the length, format, and content.
Client Proposals
When working with new potential clients, ensure that you prepare before your first meeting. Ensure you have research and information to answer your clients' questions and concerns. Take notes during your meeting of the clients' concerns if you don't answer at the meeting time. Follow up with your potential client promptly with the answer to their question. Pay attention to what your client is asking for and how you can or can't meet those potential needs. Be honest and upfront with potential clients about trying their case or how the process will look for them.
Committee membership
Try to participate in your legal communities committees and organizations. Participating in these associations allows you to make connections and learn more about your expertise. Come to meetings prepared and actively participate in the organizations. Show up to meetings on time and read the agenda or other materials to prepare for the meeting.
