Mizkan America Inc., the company that produces Ragú brand pasta sauces, has recalled an unreported number of sauces from stores nationwide due the possibility that they may contain plastic fragments, according to LexBlog. The recalled products were produced between June 4th and June 8th and have a best by date of June 2020.
The company stated that they have not received any confirmed complaints or reported injuries from from consumers. They did not report how the plastic fragments got into the sauce.
Consumers who have recently purchased the sauces should check their product and not consume it if it has been affected by the recall. Consumers who have been affected can call Mizkan America customer service to receive a replacement coupon.

- RAGÚ Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion in 45-ounce jars with the cap code JUN0620YU2 and a best-by date of JUN0620YU2
- RAGÚ Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion in 66-ounce jars with the cap code JUN0520YU2 and a best-by date of JUN0520YU2
- RAGÚ Chunky Tomato Garlic & Onion in 66-ounce jars with the cap code JUN0620YU2 and a best-by date of JUN0620YU2
- RAGÚ Old World Style Traditional in 66-ounce jars with the cap code JUN0420YU2 and a best-by date of JUN0420YU2
- RAGÚ Old World Style Meat in 66-ounce jars with the cap code JUN0520YU2 and a best-by date of JUN0520YU2
