This month’s free webinar from Public Justice is on Wednesday, February 12th, at 2:00pmET/11:00amPT.
The Hairston v. Equitable Production Company Case is a true David v. Goliath tale. Fourteen African-American families in a small West Virginia town sued a natural gas company when old family gravestones were desecrated by building an access road. The gas company argued that the departed had no right to be buried there. Lead Counsel Kevin Thompson of Thompson Barney will discuss why he took on this case and the strategy he used to overcome several obstacles to win over $900,000 for his clients.
