How can a company make sure that its employees are maintaining a healthy work/life balance? Well, here at Advocate Capital, they provide the balance. This past year, our Culture Club has organized in person and virtual Power Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class, a dynamic and fluid style of yoga that synchronizes breath with movement.
This is the perfect opportunity to de-stress during the workday by moving, having fun, and building internal heat. We get an hour with the fantastic Marina Mukandala, President and CEO of L.I.F.E. Marina is not only a master yoga instructor, she is an entrepreneur, leader, and motivational speaker. Participating in the class with such a positive person will leave you feeling energized and with a sense of peace and ease.
Although the class was made into a fun experience, we are reminded that keeping a healthy mind is so important in our roles and everyday life. Marina takes the time to listen to what our body needs that day and helps guide us through the flow and get the best out of the hour. Fortunately, this class is appropriate for all levels of experience – from a first timer to a master yogi.
It’s a class that I encourage anyone looking for something new and fun to try, whether they’ve participated in yoga or not. We are grateful that we are occasionally given the virtual option in case interested participants are unable to make it to the MetroCenter office.
